Walter Garcia signed without a trial
August 4, 2009

Metro might be 13 games below .500, but that's not stopping Juan Carlos Osorio and Jeff Agoos from attempting to improve the team. Sure, there are only two healthy forwards on the roster, and sure, the midfield is a black hole, and sure, they just signed a central defender in Leo Krupnik, and sure...

Ah, whatever. According to the NY Post, RBNY has signed Argentine center back Walter Garcia. "Walter's a guy we're bringing in with the intention of taking a longer look at, we have the ability to look at the rest of the season. So he'll be signed to our roster, we'll have a look at him and if we like him we'd extend the contract to next year," Agoos told the Post.
